Why We Love Remarriage & Desires (And You Should, Too!)
Remarriage & Desires may be a short k-drama available on Netflix. However it is nothing but boring, and even with just a few episodes the cast is able to portray an amazing story that will keep you glued to the screen until the very end.
WHAT IS REMARRIAGE & DESIRES
The matchmaking company REX is famous for serving only the wealthiest member of society. Each of their clients wants to maintain their position or finding a proper partner to elevate their role in society. Seo Hye-Seung happens to be among their clients after her husband died. But wanting her to start seeing someone again, her mother secretly adds her to their clients. However, the supposed simple meeting becomes a vengeful moment when Hye-Seung saw Jin Yoo-Hui (the lady who her husband cheated on with) also attending the company. But Hye-Seung’s revenge is much more deep than a merely cheating scandal. She is the reason why her husband died, and why Hye-Seung has swore to get revenge. Ready to marry the youngest and richest member of society Jin Yoo-Hui is specifically looking to get her hands on Lee Hyung-Ju. As a result, Seo Hye-Seung has found a new reason to join the company: get her revenge on Jin Yoo-Hui and ruining all of her plan.

WHY LOVING REMARRIAGE & DESIRES
- When I tell you that my mum loved the series I am not joking. She is not the biggest K-drama watcher, and yet she remained glued to the screen until the very last episode. Remarriage & Desires is an amazing show that will not disappoint its audience. The cast is just fantastic and even though is a fairly short drama, in reality the story flow without playing around too much. The love story may feel rushed because of the limited episode, as everyone would want to see more. However it is also clear how the drama is not specifically a romance, and as a result focusing too much of it would lose its essence. Hye-Seung have never thought of marrying again. Her focus was on Yoo-Hui, and having too many episodes focusing on her romance would divert from that purpose.
- The main couple. Both of them never thought about joining REX. It was only because of their mothers that they entered the company for a new partner. Their story was never about loving each other from the beginning. I don’t think you could call it an enemies to lover either, but only people forced by external circumstances to spend time together and started to fell for each others. Both disappointed by their lovers and both single parents, they had always been clear as to what they wanted. I am particularly happy that Hye-Seung was able to represent a better mother figure for his son. Though she only started as his teacher.
If you have reached this point, I hope you would like to give a chance to this drama. Let me know what you thought of it.
Have a great binge-watching, Marianna
